I teach Year 4 and two absolute favourites of me and my whole class the last few years were The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tullane- and absolutely stunning book and Podkin One Ear. My class were absolutely hooked by both

I think Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is the most Marmite book I’ve ever come across. People who love it, really love it. I really didn’t.
Podkin One Ear is great. More peril than I was expecting from the cute stuffed bunny promotions in our local bookshop. If you imagine Game of Thrones for kids, but with rabbits, it’s not far off.

I found a really good kids book recently. Total luck finding it. It’s by an author called Rik Ashton and it’s called ‘Charlie Barker and the secret of Langdon Academy’. I’m assuming a new writer as I can’t find any other stories by him.

Was well written and my boys loved it. Would recommend.
