Books about Death

Sorry for the morbid topic but looking for recommendations!

I have an 11 year old DD (slightly immature for her age) who has recently become very upset about death. Notably my death! She has been talking about how sad she'll be when I die and that she'll be all alone. She's an older child but I think I've said all the right things plus told her she may have her own family by then so won't be alone. (Plus cousins etc).

I was thinking of buying her a nice sweet book about death but in a non scary way to kinda reassure her.

Ive Googled and can see there's a few but looking if anyone has got any recommendations,

Thank you!

Badgers parting gifts by Susan Varley.

Rabbityness and Badger's Parting Gifts are both nice (kind of similar). Paper Dolls has a hint at death (a favourite Grandma is in the little girl's memories along with her paper dolls at the end). Bog Baby and The Storm Whale both have themes of letting go/saying goodbye. These are all young for your DD really but beautiful so may be worth a look anyway...

Badgers Parting Gifts is lovely though more for the 6 year old age group I'd have thought.

Haven't any recommendations, but as a lot of books for this age have orphans and poverty and disrupted home lives due to parental deaths, it might be worth explaining about wills and guardians and exactly what would happen if you died. DD (9) was very reassured to hear that she would definitely be provided for financially, including school and university, and would go to live with her Aunt and Uncle and cousin, with various other family having input on the trust etc..

Yes sorry my ideas will all be a bit young actually...
