4 year old books to read themselves

My four year old can read well for her age and we're plodding through Biff, Chip and Kipper etc. She can also read most of her old board books. However I want to start her reading chapter books as I think she'll love it, but something simple. I'd be grateful for some ideas as everything I think of says 7+.

You can get early reader versions of rainbow magic and horrid Henry. Don't know if they would be suitable.

Usborne do fairy / traditional tales in short illustrated chapter books also walker books do a set of short varied chapter books - both should be available in a good library or normally lots in charity shops.

Ooh I've not heard of rainbow magic but it sounds just the thing she'd like. How silly of me not to think of the library too. I shall have a look for your recommendations in there. Thank you 😊

The other one I forgot is m & s. They do lovely hardback fairytales. They would be suitable.

The Magic Treehouse books were the ones that got DS reading chapter books. There are over 100 of them (DS read about 20 before moving on), all kinds of topics, and accompanying non-fiction books too.

(Not to be confused with 13-storey-treehouse series)

Some of the easiest books DS read were 'Frankie's Magic Football' series, if she is into football at all?

Rainbow fairies are probably a step up from there.

We also had a Early Reader collection from The Book People, that was good as it had lots of different styles/types of books.

Thanks to you lovely lot when I saw some Rainbow Fairy books on the book stall at the local show today I snapped them up, 3 for £1! We're currently one chapter in and they are a big hit. X

Miles Kelly learn to read books. Although aimed at 5-7yo. They are familiar stories like Goldilocks and the three bears ect.
