Can anyone recommend a book for a little girl that i could give as a present. She is 3.
10 years ago, my sons were that age and they loved:
The Gruffalo
Smiley Shark
We're Going on a Bear Hunt
Room on the Broom
etc

I think they are all fairly unisex, but maybe there are others now that are better, and maybe there are ones that would appeal mainly to girls that I never noticed??

www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_ebooks_1?ie=UTF8&text=Katherine+Blake&search-alias=digital-text&field-author=Katherine+Blake&sort=relevancerank&tag=mumsnetforum-21 Hi The lonely little Rabbit by Katherine Blake is a nice read - it's not too long and has a lovely moral. Happy ending!

My daughter is 2+ now and she really likes the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar By Eric Carle. Its educational as well. Its a about a hungry caterpillar, eating lots of colorful food and cocooning and then transforming into a beautiful butterfly. Easter Smile

We loved Sir Charlie Stinky Socks, could fun to read out loud, fab illustrations and good stories. I always found it really sweet that the princess he is always trying to rescue/please is really his little sister.
