"Christmas" themed books for 11 & 14 yo

Have got it into my head that I will buy each daughter a "Christmas" themed book. Eg something set at Christmas, or involving lots of snow, or similar!

Any recommendations?

11yo likes ponies, adventure stories and fantasy. Reads well but not obsessively.

14yo is quite geeky - also likes fantasy and spy/adventure. But she is a big reader and will turn her hand to anything well written. (And she's studying A Christmas Carol for GCSE, so that's not an option!)

How about Little Women for the older one?

Hogfather by Terry Pratchett or A boy called Christmas by Matt Haig for the younger. I haven't read it but I've heard good things.

All Christmassy, but might be a bit young for 14 yo. However, by Christmas she might be ready for something a bit less taxing (but still well written).

For the 11yr old The Snow Merchant.
For the 14yr old A Cold Day for Murder - set in Alaska a female investigator on the trail of a murder. Lightly looks at issues of native people & environment.

Following, love getting recommendations for kids books.

Jostien Gaarder's The Christmas mystery is a favourite in our house. It's written as 24 short chapters so we read it as an advent calendar.

I also associate both The Moondial and Toms Midnight Garden with Christmas (probably because of the BBC TV adaptations.

It's not a childrens'/YA book, but I can imagine my 14 y/o reading and enjoying The Snow Child by Iowyn Ivey. It's based on a Russian fairytale - and has a bit of a magical realist feel.

I'd suggest The Dark is Rising for the 11 y/o.

Tolkien's letters from Father Christmas?
