Books for a 14 year old girl in rural Zimbabwe?

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions for a friend who wants to send books to a fourteen year old relative in rural Zimbabwe. She is thought to be a good reader but her access to books is limited. I only have little children, and vague memories of what I read at that age (possibly rather a lot of Judy Blume? Plus some nineteenth century classics and so on). Any ideas would be very welcome. I really haven't got a clue where to start, unfortunately I'm not in a position to ask her what she likes myself.

I've got a 14 y/o dd who's a very keen reader. She reads quite a lot of sci-fi / fantasy (not particularly YA, for example she really liked the Three Body Problem & sequel), but that's maybe a more specific taste.

Thinking of her/ her friends, Rainbow Rowell is very popular (Fangirl, Eleanor & Park, Landline), John Green ditto (The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska et al), Cassandra Clare (eg Mortal Instruments series)

TBH, there's lots of great YA fiction around - perhaps go for a varied selection if you don't know the girls likes/dislikes? There's various 'best of YA' lists around, eg this one from the Telegraph.

Oh that is great, thank you so much! I will look up all of these, it has made me realise I am way behind the times. And for some reason I need thought of internet searching for ready made lists, I just came straight to MN.

Half Bad by Sally Green the first in a trilogy ( all three are out now), currently being made in to a film.
