18 month old DD loves books and is currently obsessed with fish, so we thought we'd spend some of her Christmas money on a new story. We already have Barry The Fish With Fingers, but any others starring (or heavily featuring) fish would be good.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The Julia Donaldson book about a hermit crab, is that Sharing A Shell? Crab, anemone and bristleworm share a shell. That has some fish but they aren't the main chars (just try to eat them!)

What's the Dr Seuss one that starts One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish?

Mr Seahorse, Tiddler, and any of the Octonauts books which will be suitable soon (age 2+)

The Cat in the Hat has a goldfish in a key role, and also One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

The Snorgh and the Sailor has some wonderful sea creatures and is a lovely story about expanding your horizons.

For 18mo, Jack Tickle's pop-up The Very Funny Fish - huge hit here even after the anglerfish light has been stuck back on with sellotape again...

Fidgety Fish by Ruth Galloway. My ds loved it at that age. It was the book we had to read every night for months.

Our all time favourite is Commotion in the Ocean

Omg, Hurrah for Fish was loved in our house! So much so, that even 10 years on we're still using done of the 'fishes' in our family vocab.

"You're being a bit of a Grumpy Fish!" Etc.

Love it!
