It’s been over 40 years since Mildred Hubble first entertained us with her magical mayhem and since then millions of readers have fallen under her spell.

From her very first day at Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches Mildred is the worst witch. Her broomstick won’t fly straight, her spells go wrong, and to top it off, her kitten Tabby isn’t too clever either.

This is my DD out trick-or-treating today (and my first time making a costume, which is fairly obvious!). I realised afterwards she should have had Tabby on the broom, she's very cat obsessed - maybe next year
