Morning Mners Brew
I have heard ( mostly on here) what a good book this is. I know it's a children's book, but how childish is it ? I enjoyed the Harry Potter books and the Tiffany Aching books, so certainly not adverse to reading children's books, is this of the same ilk ?
I have seen the film and love it, is the book worth buying ?

Yes, definitely! I bought it for DD but enjoyed it myself...one of those books I wished had been around when I was younger! I read Eva Ibbotson's 'Journey to the River Sea' at the same time...another great book.

Thank, yes I wish I had heard of it when I was younger.

It's only £1.99 for a kindle edition, so will buy it. Thanks for the other suggestion, I will look in to it.

I enjoyed it, although I preferred a sequal, I think it was "House of Many Ways". Not my favourite of hers, but I enjoyed it as an adult.

I like it but also liked the charmed life books- Christopher charm I think.

Thank you, will start reading.

The book is much better than the film. Tis one of our family's favourites. FWIW, I wasn't introduced to it until university so it definitely works as an adult book too.
