I know that some of JW's books deal, with quite adult themes but DD has enjoyed having "Sleepovers" read to her, which I was recommended on MN as being a good place to start with JW.

What would be another good JW book for her?

ds (8) has had a school reading book called Lizzie Zipmouth by JW which seems ok

There is one about a girl who is forced to go to summer camp against her will whilst her mum and step dad go on honeymoon. Can't remember what it is called!

BertieBotts · 28/04/2015 17:36

She has her books listed by suggested age on her website, I think that would be a good place to start.

Agree with Bertie. Check her website. Some have very adult themes and one in particular dd will never read (I read it whilst babysitting for my 10yo niece and was not impressed). Worth checking out each synopsis before you approve it.

The book I was thinking of is How To Survive Summer Camp.

There is also Glubbslyme, and The Dinosaur's Packed Lunch.

Thanks all Flowers

I'll take a look at JW's website.

I think the one's like "Double Act" and "The Suitcase Kid" are probably suitable

I read and coped with suitcase kid and double act aged 10/11. Both quite sad. Cliffhanger an buried alive are good for younger ones and mum minder. Also like candy floss and cookie.
