From the school pitch to the beaches of Rio, Jamie Johnson is going to learn there's more to being a great footballer than he ever imagined.

The ideal book for all football-mad kids, Skills from Brazil is a prequel to the hugely popular Jamie Johnson series, but can also be read as a standalone story. If you’d like a copy to share with your DCs, you can apply now. Please come back to let us know your thoughts on the book or post a review.

My DD (aged 9) says: This book is so good - I could read it again and again. It's probably one of the best books I've ever read! :) There's loads of good facts about football in it and it's really helped me to enjoy football more. I think I'd recommend this book for boys AND girls because it's not really that boy-ish. If you want to know more about football, this is the ideal book. There's a good storyline for people not interested in football too.

My other DD (aged 11) says she agrees with all the above.

Lovely story, well researched. I loved the description about the different way that football is practiced and played in Brazil, the tactics learned by the main character and particularly the pages from Raphael's notepad - a nice touch.
