February Children's bookclub choice. The Pointless Leopard is a delightful, very funny tale of a grumpy city kid, Leonard who's forced to go for country walks with his parents. His view of the countryside is that it's "ugly, it's green and it's boring." That is until he meets a cow, a chicken and a sheep who end up pondering over the purpose of existence.

If you know a child who may enjoy this beautifully illustrated, charming story, apply for a free copy and come back and let us know what they think.

Apologies for the lateness in coming to this thread, me and my DS (5) only managed to read the book this week.
DS loved it, thought it was "funny and different". I liked the length, perfect for a quick, but complete, read. And I thought it was quirky and sweet. I loved that Leonard was an only child (as DS is). Had no idea how the story was going to develop, and neither did DS, so it was a surprise when the wolf turned up. Thought there was a lesson in there for parents as much as children. Would definitely buy this as a gift - lovely illustrations, gentle story with a nod to fairy tales and with a sweet ending.
