Are the Saddle Club still 'cool' or am I behind the times?

Ludo and the Star Horse

Less horsey, but excellent, Elizabeth Gouge's Little White Horse

I absolutely loved the Jill series by Ruby Ferguson when I was ten. I have had a look on amazon and they all seem to be still in print.

there are tonnes at the public library ime, no need to look further.

If you want something not at the library, the Margarite Henry books are good reads. Many of them are tear-jerkers, mind.

My DD liked the Pony Club Secrets ones the first one is rather more "grown up" than the rest. They are quite good for the Pony bits, and not as fantastical as some others (eg. The one dollar pony).

She might also like some practical pony care books, or on horse breeds.
