David Melling has created a lovely book with bright illustrations which Amelia (2 years) has thoroughly enjoyed. Every time I get to the end she says 'Again!' I know what series I will need to get to send to Santa!!

I love it - beautifully illustrated and with a lovely heartwarming story. Unfortunately DD was bored half way through so maybe it's one to keep for when she's a bit older.

As with the other 2 douglas books we have this one doesn't fall short - The pictures and story are very heart warming . infact i think its already becoming a favourite !! - thank you so much for our copy - bedtime stories are so so important - its fab to get a new one to add to the mix.

I thought this book was lovely. The illustrations are beautiful, and the writing is easy for children to understand. I liked that the font size was large and there weren't too many words on each page. Children seem to get bored if there is tons of small writing in a book, so this was perfect. I also enjoyed the nice message that came across in the story.

My eldest (5) really enjoyed this book. It is written is a simple way so that the messages in the story would be apparent to fairly young readers; mainly friendship, determination and manners. The illustrations are lovely and really enhanced the story.
