Fun rhyming books/poetry to read to 5yo

DS has got into rhyming words in a big way and spends a lot of time making up silly poems and rhymes. I've been reading him poems from an anthology I have, but he only wants funny/nonsense ones rather than serious ones at the moment and this anthology only has a few funny ones! So I'm looking for fun poetry anthologies or rhyming books (he likes the Dr Seuss feet book and Pants for example) that I can read to him. I'm also interested in any simple ones he might be able to read himself. Any suggestions? Thanks Grin

I have 'A Childs Garden of Verses' by Robert Louis Stevenson that I got when I was a child still enjoy flicking through it now.

micheal rosen; bananas in my ears, still makes me laugh (bonus points for illustrations by quentin blake) spike miligan has some funny ones, vaguely remember reading edward lear when i liked poems as a child

There are loads of Dr Seuss books that range from early readers to relatively complicated kids books. If he already likes some Dr Seuss could you get him more of that?

Thank you all :) Last week I stole back from his sister dug out the Hairy Maclarys and Julia Donaldsons and he is enjoying revisiting those.

Never tried Dr Seuss before then picked this up in the library last week and he is really enjoying it. So if that is representative then I'll definitely search out some more of those.

My DCs love Kenn Nesbitt poems. If you google there are lots of his poems on line, and you can get his books on amazon.

The other fantastic poet for children who really doesn't seem to be known in the UK is Shel Silverstein. Where the Sidewalk Ends is my favourite.

All the AA Milnes are good esp When We Were Very Young..

Also Hilaire Belloc. We have a fab edition of Jim by Hilaire Belloc and Mini Grey which is great and a bit grisly so v appealing to my DCs.
