Books about being scared of the dark

... and why it's a bit daft. How to resolve the issue.
My DD(3.8) has suddenly become petrified of the dark, always wants the light on when she goes to bed. She says she's scared of "scarey dreams". She had a nightmare a few weeks ago which seems to be the catalyst.
She responds well to books, learning things from them, so wondered if anyone had some book suggestions!?
Thanks

Off the top of my head-'The owl who was afraid of the dark' sounds like an obvious choice! Have to check if it is still in print though, as I remember it from 20 ish years ago! :)

She might also like Can't You Sleep, Little Bear? which is very very cute - about a little bear who can't sleep because he's afraid of the dark :)

Friesops Fables a brand new publication by author, Julian Defries. is now a firm bedtime favourite in my house. Beautifully ?drawn? both in words and pictures. One of the stories is called 'Ghostly Bear' which is about a little bear's fears of what he thinks he's seen at night. Has a happy ending explaining his unfounded fear. Great bedtime read!

We've got 'Darkness Slipped in' by Ella Burfoot, which personifies Darkness and is a nice rhymey-read with lovely glossy pages. Features a little girl called Daisy...perfect if your daughter is called Dasiy!
