DD loves her Winnie books but I think we have them all now and I know them all off by heart!

Is there any other books about witches? or similar. DD is nearly 4.

The Worst Witch? My DD loved having them read to her at that age and now loves reading them to herself.

This thread reminded me of a book I read as a child and loved, so I went looking for it and here it is! I might have to buy it for my DDs...

There's the Beverley Nicholls books - they are a trilogy and an "extra one" but I don't know if you'd be able to actually get hold of them, you might find one of the abridged paperbacks on ebay or somewhere. The original hardbacks are collectors items and tend to cost a bomb.
They're "The Tree That Sat Down" "The Stream That Stood Still" and "The Mountain of Magic", and the odd one is "The Wickedest Witch in the World".

The Bella Donna books are worth a try.

Worst Witch books are fabulous and also Diana Wynne Jones's books (though she's too young as yet) - Magicians of Caprona and Witch Week. I had a cartoony book - might have been by Usbourne - about How To Spot A Witch, and I loved it but can't find any details. Monstrous Maud books have witches in though also vampires, werewolves, monsters etc and probably about right age group?

I would second the suggestion of the Beverley Nichols' books, especially the first two. Also The Worst Witch series, and then Diana Wynne Jones' Charmed Life/Witch Week/Magicians of Caprona/Lives of CC when aged 8-9-10.

The Pongwhiffy books are good, lots of references you'd enjoy when reading them too (Vincent van Ghoul, I think there's a Humphrey Boggart etc,), but they might be a bit too old, I'm not sure. I read them myself at six/seven so you might be ok.
