there's probably a ladybird book!

Don't know of any books but there's a Florence Nightingale museum next to St Thomas' hospital in London. Bit pricey but quite interesting.

Have a look on Amazon... there are several, I didn't look to see which would be most appropropriate for a 7yo

I think they may have been studying her in year 2. She is a good reader for her age, hopefully someone will have a suggestion of something suitable. Sadly we are 5 hours from London.

Lots on Amazon for 5 to 8 year olds here.

There's a Florence Nightingale Museum which might be of interest...

Wee word of warning... Your post sent shivers down my spine as I read a library book about Florence Nightingale at the same age and had horrendous nightmares for ages about cholera and dysentery and Punch cartoons! I'm sure that contemporary books would be more sensitive but please be careful!

Try the Usborne Young Reading Programme Level 3 - absolutely ideal for this age group. Lots of interesting biographies. Would be £4-99.

(Polite plea - please support your local small Usborne Organiser - I recently gave a local lady lots of help and advice and she promptly went off to Waterstones Sad)

Flussy thanks for the heads up, dd is a sensitive soul and dramatic so I'll be sure to read it.

Confused I always buy the usborne titles from Amazon or the book people because they are discounted. Sorry.
