Would really be grateful if any of you could share your top ten preschool books with me. I feel that many parents like to be recommended books that have been used by others successfully therefore,
I am starting a book review every Wednesday on my blog. I am kicking off the first ten weeks with our top ten commenting on the blog how we share the books together and what fun games we use to read the book. If you have a top ten to share could you either write it below or comment on book review facebook page or blog. Thankyou

Oh, forgot "Chocolate Mousse..." - can I add that one to my list too?

Alpinechildcare · 04/05/2012 23:32

My 17 month old's favorite by miles is Each Peach Pear Plum.
We have to look at it every morning as soon as he wakes up and he points my fingers as things and I have to tell him what they are.
My 5 year old niece also loves it because she likes to hear the stories of all the characters. It's great, because it's a book that grows in complexity as they do.

Eggrules · 04/05/2012 23:38

Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers ( love the short film too)
Shark in the Park by Nick Sharratt
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr Seuss
Splat the Cat by Rob Scotton (about first day of school) & Love Splat
How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? by Jane Yolen
Bright Stanley by Matt Buckingham
Elmer the Patchwork Elephant David McKee
Only One You by Linda Kranz
I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato (Charlie and Lola) by Lauren Child
We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, Helen Oxenbury

Feeling nostalgic now

Bella2010star · 04/05/2012 23:39

Finished my first review on "Hug" would appreciate any feedback of what you think about the review. It does have a twist as I have offered ways to extend the story so children can read for meaning at a young age.

Just had a look - comments are:

Overall - love the look and layout. It is bright and cheerful, without being flashy. It is easy to read.

The only negative comment I have is v.small and nit-picking and to do with minor edits in two of the sentences of the review:
A comma is needed after "...funny one..." in the first para.
The phrase "...which is great." could be cut after the Goodreads scoring info.

The positives on the other hand are:
The way you set out the imaginative play options is really inspiring, and make me want to get the book and attempt the same with my small child Grin.

Bella2010star · 05/05/2012 00:15

going back to edit, thank you for your help I really am grateful :) writing is not my strong point glad you enjoyed the content.
