CMs claiming tax credits

Is there a special section for CMs when working out tax credits?

I'm familiar with the special rules when in receipt of IS and have just looked at entitledto website which had a special section for CMing but it gave me a lower tax credit result than if I'd put in s/e earnings in the main section.

Any help would be appreciated! I have totally confused myself.

Totally confused me - what do you mean by special section? Would you not just fill out the form based on you being Self Employed - thus you put your Profit rather than Turnover?

Iirc correctly there's a section on the tax credit claim form to tick if you or your partner are a childminder (and I think there was one for part time firemen too?).

Hi there, Just have a question about tax credits......
do I have to work over 16 hours to claim. I am married with partner self employed too and full time.
What is this BOX to tick?

Isn't the 16 hours requirement for Childcare element of WTC?
Leaflets WTC2 and WTC5 explain Childcare Element of WTC.
