atworknoworking - I appreciate that and also don't like computershare much at all. But, the fact remains that I have no choice. My employer will not swap companies or add another. They just won't do it. So, that leaves me having to use them.
However, as I've said before, I just saved up one month's worth and always keep a month's worth (£243) in the voucher account so that it doesn't matter when computershare issue the voucher or how long they hold onto it... I already have the full amount to pay to cm in there on the 26th of each month. And cm receives it immediately every time. I pay the rest of the month's balance (in advance) by bank transfer from my bank, same date every month.

I think this is the only way computershare will work effectively - if the parent saves up one month - otherwise the risk of running late is too possible.

Yes, it's not good at all and I don't like it one bit. But, I have no choice in the matter.

cinnamon, I agree with what you say. I am not dependent on the childcare vouchers coming in on time, I hold a months fees on account from the outset, though it does make accounting a little more time consuming, matching random payments with no names on!

My problem is that it is part of the parents salary and should be paid to whoever on the same day as they receive it, in fact, some of the companies receive the funds 14 days in advance of payroll, as Busy bees used to ( rarely) sometimes pay me when they got it! I Know when my families payroll is done, they all work for the same employer.

The best by far is Accor who send all my payments together on one advice email and Care4, Sodexho but have changed their name to Saycare Pass were also good.

It's important to talk to your CM 1st before making any decisions.
She may not understand how not accepting your vouchers will effect your pocket - and equally so, you may not fully understand her reasons for not wanting to accept them.
It is usually something that can be ironed out - and talking is usually the answer to the problems.
I haven't ever accepted them as payment but I am considering it - the comments on here have given me a good insight to the problems that can occur. As my business is the only income, late payments can be immensely stressful. Remember that it is probably the money that pays her bills - not just a lifestyle.

I'd start looking for new childcare. You dont want to lose out on the tax savings nor want a childcarer who isnt doing things by the book.

Scarfmarker - the email is to let you know they are in your computershare account if you log on it will show on your balance then they transfer into your bank account on the date you have arranged. I use to have it set they transferred on the 1st each month so even if money in on 28th it sat there till 1st . I have now changed it to transfer the money the day it goes in. It does take 1 or 2 days to go into bank but the money is in voucher acc the day the parent transfers it.

my husband and I use 2 different voucher companys mine is busybees-compushare and in dec nationally no-one from nhs employers for theirs on time they came mid of 1st week of jan, compushare blamed employer saying that hadnt hit right button, I rang payroll and it was sorted that day but she informed me it was every nhs employer for that voucher company it had happened to but we paid our childminder from husband voucher account and luckily had a stock from where he started them early. we paid that childminder in arrears anyway thats how she worked.

we now use a new childminder and nursery and our costs are much more than vouchers in total always pay nursery with vouchers as easier and new childminer we will pay one mth by bank transfer and one mth by vouchers as we pay her in advance and rather than pay part voucher/part bank transfer and it being a bit bitty we decided this was easier all round. Also she charges in advance and has it set we pay same amount each mth and then if she is on hols/we are we pay 50% inc bank hols (if she is sick then we pay nothing) she then refunds this at end of the mth by cheque so we felt better knowing we pay 50% of any monies overall to her by bank transfer as am sure she couldnt do this if we paid all in vouchers as felt it would be classed as tax avoidance even if a very small amount.
