Today I made edible paints and let the babies go wild with them in a tuff-spot tray, they absolutely loved it because they were stripped down to their nappy so they could really feel the paint. I did this with an 8m/o, 12m/o and 21m/o and have some superb photos of them in action!

We've also had the paddling pool out, one with water, one with balls, we've had the water tray but mostly it's just been babies running around starkers and thoroughly enjoying themselves! I did make the mistake of going to the park yesterday but it was so busy and of course everyone star-burst away from me the second we got there so I left shortly afterwards to keep my sanity in tact!

What have you done to take advantage of the good weather?

I am a nanny looking after a 2 year old.

Tuesday afternoon we went to the local castle and park/playground

Wednesday afternoon we went to the seaside by train

Thursday afternoon we went to a teddy bears picnic on the local field

Today we went to toddlers this am and then into town in the afternoon.

We have been out and about, stripped to their knickers/nappies and T's at Lulworth Cove (it was overcast on leaving home, so took waterproofs, 15 miles to the coast and sunshine)

Climbing trees and jumping off logs in the woods. Playing cricket at the park, lunch under the huge tree.

Today we should have been going to the local agricultural collage to the animal park and lake for a picnic, 3 miles down the road and the radiator went on my bus, so back home where we water pained the house walls, chalked on the paths then got scrubbing brushes and cleaned them up (kids spent hours doing it!!!!!!, will have to hire them out) and generally just messing about in the garden

We have been to a picnic/disco today and had a fab time. Got some smashing pix of my mindees doing a sack race, doing the conga and macarena!!!

Wednesday we spent the day in the garden playing with water in all manner of ways - adding bubbles, chalks, sand, squirting (mainly each other). we took the dogs on a long walk and went to the nature reserve and spotted frogs and fish and birds and butterflies and lots more!

That was my only two days working!!!

Other than that i have had a lovely time

Hi Lollipopmother - would love a water tray, but always seem so expensive. Can I be cheeky and ask - where did you get yours from? Thnx

Do you need a water tray? I use a tuff spot, a washing up bowl, a bucket or the sand tray depending on what type of water play we are having. I prefer to use things we already have because, as a childminder, space is always at such a premium. I also sometimes put lots of water into the sand tray so that the sand becomes like the sea bed.
