If you made your own register? How many children per page?

Well the title says it all really, I've been using the NCMA register, and with only 1/2 children its been fine, but pretty soon will have 4-5 and would rather have 1 page per week/month for all children, but is it a data protection issue if they see each other's signing in info?

So... what does your register look like?

I just have the children due that day on a page (but I do have lots)

Ok, thanks. Do you do 1 page per week?

I'm trying to cut down on the number of bits of paper, but can't quite work out how!?

Oh and is it a requirement that they're signed? I just found one on the Bromley pages and that didn't seem to have space for signatures...

I do a page a day (so 5 a week) & I get the parents to sign the children in & out with the times they actually arrive & leave

I have a week to a page, 4 children on a page and they write times in and out and sign

Mine are written in a diary each day. Arrival and departure times. Inspectors don't care that they're not signed by parents, but for your own safety it is probably a good idea to get parents to sign them in and out.

I have 6 to a page, morning and afternoon sections, and the parents sign their own children in and initial.

The folder sits by the front door with a clock above it.

This all sounds really helpful thanks. Would anyone mind sending me their sheets please?

My address is northlondonchildminder (at)yahoo.co.uk

Many thanks in advance.

parents dont have to sign.. not a requirment.. but Ofsted are hot on EXACT arrival and departure times which always vary slightly from you contracted hours.

I have a month spread sheet for each child and sign every day. parents not involved.

I have a page per child per month, just to be different!
