how do you do this?

i was going to write in a book once or twice a week stating what activitys we had done, which area they were linked to and then what further activites could be done to compliment this?

is this correct?

or what do you do?

I make a note in my diary of the activities we have done, but I have never linked them to EYFS, or I'd never get any sleep. I'm sure an Ofsted inspector would love it though.

i thought you had to show them how you link to the early years fondation stage, thats what my council advisor said?

I do that on their individual observations and I told my inspector that I have EYfS in mind when planning activities. She could see from the list of activities that all areas are covered. She was happy (but another inspector may feel differently)

I do daily diary, then go through and put stickers in (coloured smileys for each of the 6 areas) write in the ref no of the obs sheet and then cross reference if needed ie: if this obs was the next step to the last one. I also do obs sheets that arn't in the daybook if I see something that was unplanned.
