play dough, sand, water finger painting, music & movement, gloop(cornflour & water), musical instruments, assault courses,

singing, dancing, mega blocks, mark making.
for very little ones: pots and pans with spoons and whisks etc as drumsticks! (I find this very handy when I have little ones and I need to make lunch to tea - I sit them on the floor in the kitchen and give them some kitchen things to play with - pots, spoons, plasticware etc. Hold back on the knives and graters, though )

For littlies:

Save all my plastic bottle tops and hide them in a box for them to 'find' then provide pots, pans and utensils.

Treasure baskets with natural things such as loofa, pummice stone, beaded necklaces, wool, silk, shells, dryer ball, velcro.

Two massive bits of MDF outside covered in paper, provide paint.

Tuff-spot tray full of flour/oats/glitter along with plastic toys, bowls, spoons.

Shallow-ish tray full of warm water and bubbles, bottles, pots.

Coloured pasta spirals with pots

Finger painting

Small world play, prams, dolls

Musical instruments

singing + movement using instruments, soft toys (old mcdonald), peepo cloths etc

small pillows and fabric (for sleeping bunnies, playing sleepovers, making boats, etc)

dressing up/role play

watering the garden

water play

easel and chunky pencils

sponge painting

collage/sticking using pva or pritt stick

making shortbread/gingerbread (using cutters)
