What are you doing during the half term

I have four kids of my own and only childmind two kids during the holiday,a third may come if required.

How are you finding childminding during the holiday times?. I like to plan ahead with what I am doing. I find out what my kids want to do, engage them with these whilst I childmind. During the holidays I only have two little ones who come two days each but not together. This works well for everyone.

I know some childminders who have so many kids that it can become stressful.

How are you coping?

I'm not coping well, well not with my 6 years old. I cant have her friends here as it will be too much. The park is ok but she get bored after some time and to make things worst she doesnt want to go our community center which provides activities for children of her age.

this week have had two 8 year olds, 5 year old and 3 year old. we have done kids club at cinema, park and adventure playground they are next to each other so half time in each, blue reef, kids disco,

we also do days at farm, themeparks, softplay areas,

Summer fruit posted this on other thread for you too it takes a while to get used to planning for holidays but this week has so far cost us £15 in total so not too heavy on the money front and has been suitable for all ages

Summerfruit would your daughter attend any holiday clubs? What about her going to one of her friends.?

I took three of mine to an Holiday Club (at a local church) from 09.30 to 13.30 with their packed lunch. All I had to give was £1.00 donation per visit per child.

It helps to find out what my kids want to do, before the school ends.

I have also booked my time off for Easter, summer and also Christmas. This will give me quality time to spend with my kids and also to try to catch up on things.

I will wait until Im off to invite any of my kids friends around. It will not be the same if I am childminding.

I have leant many lesson since childminding, one is not to have too many kids during the holiday time. Most of my contracts are for term time only and I am happy with that. .
