After a fairly sucessful summer holiday campaign, I am advertising for babies again

So far I have

Childcare Vacancies Currently Available

  • due to children starting school and nursery

A team of trained and qualified childminders ensuring constant, reliable care for 50 weeks of the year. We are Special Needs aware, and have attended many relevant training courses.

A caring, home environment, with an emphasis on home-cooked nutritious meals.

A purpose built playroom enabling both structured and free play. An outside playarea designed with children in mind.

What do you think??

Thanks HB....I'm still not sure about the wording

Is this any better?

Childcare Vacancies Currently Available

An experienced team of qualified childminders ensuring consistent, reliable care for 50 weeks of the year.

A caring, home environment, with an emphasis on home-cooked nutritious meals.

A purpose built playroom, alongside a calm, quiet area enabling structured activities, free play and relaxation.

Outside we have a large garden with plenty of outside toys and space to run around

Do you think??

Me again

I prefer this version, just no good at putting words together myself. Maybe just change the outside toys to ourdoor toys?? Just personal preference!

Sorry can't help more but this one is better IMO

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 15:55

Thanks HB - I spend ages on these as I feel they must be 'right' as they are a potential customers only view of me

I know what you mean. I've been advertising but worried people may get the wrong impression and think I'm a nursery or childminding agency or something! I do put I'm an Ofsted Registered childminder but it's hard to know what people think when they see them!

HellyBelly · 07/07/2005 16:11

Ooops , used the wrong name there!

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 19:49

Advertising is a major pain....
I hate it - but there is not much point advertising - if you don't get it right

I agonise over it

I like the second advert with HB outdoor rather than outside.

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 19:52

Thanks Xena and HB I feel a bit bad about going on about this today - but I can't do the other stuff at the moment - I don't want to think about it

OP posts:
Xena · 07/07/2005 19:54

I'm on mumsnet otherwise I'd be going stir crazy waiting for DH to come home

HellyBelly · 07/07/2005 19:59

Oh Xena, where's dh then?

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:04

Where do you guys advertise?

We are puting ads up in the back of all our cars

OP posts:
HellyBelly · 07/07/2005 20:07

KatyMac, you will see I have my own thread about advertising and I've listed where I do mine. Still looking for more idea's though!

Xena · 07/07/2005 20:08

Our school has a weekly newsletter, haven't advertised anywhere else except the CIS for a couple of months.

HB he runs the NAmbulanceS so has had to goto the Royal Free in London to coordinate the ambulances they were so short that they bought their fleet in from essex, used double deckers (and also DH's car).
He was in Essex at the time the bombs went off I was upset that he was going into London incase there was anymore, i feel selfish and embarrased but I just wanted him home... ffs what if all the doctors and nurses partners said that.

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:09

Do you think it would cost a lot to get tee shirts or polo shirt printed or stencilled or embroidered?

OP posts:
Xena · 07/07/2005 20:11

Katymac Dh organised to get the Boys brigade some tshirts made up as there supplier was costing them a fortune. I don't think it would be too expensive but i'm not sure if that is a good idea re advertising. What about putting on a special theme day that the local paper could do abit for you?

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:19

I thought I'd ask the crafty M/Ners and see if they had an idea

OP posts:
blodwen · 07/07/2005 20:24

Our cm group had tshirts printed. They worked out about £3 each for the logo and wording.

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:24

That's really cheap....where/how/when??

OP posts:
blodwen · 07/07/2005 20:29

I will find out the details for you tomorrow

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:30

Thanks Blodwen....appreciate it

blodwen · 07/07/2005 20:33

Am finding out right now ... watch this space!

blodwen · 07/07/2005 20:41

Try www.schoolshirt.co.uk
They are a Norfolk company and they supply us and the local playgroup. Tshirts wash well too!

KatyMac · 07/07/2005 20:50

Wow Blodwen that's a great site

Thanks loads
