I'm a CM who's moving, what happens with Ofsted?

I've been minding for about 6 weeks and haven't had my first inspection yet. I have to move in the next couple of weeks, but am staying the same area.

Does anyone know if Ofsted need to come and inspect as soon as you move or do you just let them know and they come within the first 6 months of minding as usual?

TIA

You need to ring Ofsted and discuss it with them. Usually your new house is checked before you can start childminding there. You must have a new certificate issued with your new address before you can look after any children in the new property. Sometimes if you have recently had a (graded) inspection you may be able to just submit a full risk assessment of the new house, however I am not sure in your situaiton, so you need to chat with one of your inspection team.
