Diary for use in nannyshare - recommendations?

We've found a wonderful nanny to look after our combined assortment of four children (aged 5, 3, 1 and 8 months) and she's suggested that she'll keep a diary for us so we know what's been eaten, who's slept (or not!), timing of medication etc. I'd like to make her life as straightforward as possible so am keen to find some kind of a nanny diary/daily log book which could just be filled in with the information she wants to record instead of spending time each day writing out headings.

So far I've come across the ludicrously expensive 'nanny diary' and have heard rumours of something along the lines of 'my day book'. Have any of you used either/something different and how would something like this work in a nannyshare? I'm assuming it would make sense for her to write everything in one place for both families (we're close friends so don't mind the other family knowing about dirty nappies, strops etc.) but haven't found anyone who's had experience of doing this.

Just do your own, surely? Ask her to devise some sort of form that can be easily filled in daily without too much effort. Photocopy and shove in ringbinder.

Job done.

why not use blogspot and do it online?

Create a blog of each day.

You can make it private, or an address that only you lot know.....

BBM, there won't be a computer for the nanny to use at either house; we're teachers and our laptops will be at school with us.
llareggub, I'll do that if we have to but actually quite like the idea of a properly published thing (ideally one that will fit in a bulging kitchen drawer for the 4 days per week the nanny isn't looking after the children) rather than yet another ringbinder hanging around the flat.
Thanks though...it gives me food for thought.

Your local friendly printer will produce a comb-bound book at a very reasonable price.

How about using a day to a page diary, the A5 size? hopefully that would be enough space, or have one each for the 2 families?

I kept a diary for the kids I nannied for and I used a lined notebook and just wrote out what we had done, what they had eaten, played and slept.

I have kept diaries for all mine too but much more detailed.
