Childminder/nanny for a wedding.....

My sister is getting married next year in a church and having the reception in my dads garden. She is not having any kids apart from ours - 3 and 1 - and there will no space left in the garden for them to run about etc once the marquee is up. I am bridesmaid too so will be up to my dh to look after them a lot and as we have no family there will be nobody to help a lot (friends there will I hope!). I am thinking about getting a nanny to look after them after the service to when they go to bed but no idea where to look for this sort of service. I would base them in a neighbours house so they'd have all the space there. Any ideas and as to cost too.

Hello there, this is something I'd be interested in discussing with you - I am a nanny - if you could email me on westlondonnanny [at] googlemail [dot] com that would be great

spicemonster · 16/12/2009 13:51

If wickedwitch doesn't work out for whatever reason, www.sitters.co.uk provide daycare as well as babysitting services. They've been brilliant every time I've used them

Hello Many nannies on these boards including myself offer this service and would be able to help you.

I am in east midlands [email protected] and am a qualified childrens nurse.

Alterantively look at the netmums for the area the wedding will be held and see if anyone on there.

Ask nanny to email you cv and reference contacts before you decide and obv depending on how far you live from where the wedding is being held meet with them beforehand.

I have done hotel bookings where had on occasions 5 children whove never met me and parents have gone off to whatever function after 15mins and all has been fine.

Depending on area, nannies exp and qualifications etc you will be looking at £8-£12 an hr.
