Normal for nanny to go to toddler group, an hour bus ride away?

I understand nannies typically go to groups and activities where their friends also go - but is it normally to travel 1 hour each way by bus, when there are perfectly good baby groups 5-10 mins WALK away?

Should I discuss this with the nanny? I didn't even realise the group was so far - it doesn't seem appropriate given the heat.

an hour by bus seems a long way - tho on another thread a nannys traveled an hour/3 buses etc for a picnic but was only 8miles away

does seem a long way but i am happy to travel just as my mb is happy for me to travel

ask her why she wants to go to this one, and then also ask if she would go to a local one every now and again

i would be a bit if my mb asked me to stay in when sunny - suncream, shade and hats and will be fine
