I'm pondering Greataupair.com and Nannyjob. But, I was just wondering who has had good/bad experience with those or any other places recently.

My best nanny came from gumtree, and I've interviewed a couple of duds from nannyjob (was a couple of years ago though).
If I were to need a live-in nanny I would try ringing around local childcare colleges to see if they could recommend anyone because most live-ins are at the start of their careers.

As a nanny I always look at nannyjob and my local netmums.

I don't bother with gumtree much as most employers seem to want nannies on au pair wages.

look at this. You can get a bodyguard at the same time!

I've advertised both for nannies and an au pair (during our "au pair phase" before we realised we really needed a nanny) on Gumtree. We eventually hired our after school nanny from Gumtree and she's fantastic. Very highly qualified, charming, organised, professional, the works. I WISH I could afford to hire her full time. I still think you can find some good candidates on there. There are some shocking jobs around (as is clear from the other thread.) They may gravitate towards your job quickly!

Such a good idea from Millarkie. It was a strategy I had hoped to deploy but DH keeps getting cold feet about a live in (right about the time the Gumtree ad goes up, in fact.)

I have found previous jobs on gumtree and netmums.
