I didn't put a wage in so it's not that

I feel a bit sad tbh - I thought it was a lovely job

You should def include that you can bring your kids! Major selling point!

JD by return? Obviously you need applicants for this to work, but it would be far more helpful for potential applicants to see the JD, salary and perks before they make a decision about whether to apply, and also give them the ability to tailor their CV to promote themselves effectively.

I've had lots of jobs over the years, and if I were ever to apply for another job in HR then I'd focus my CV on my achievements in HR. But if I were to return to my dim and distant past in sales, then I'd focus on that.

Could you re-think the information given to potential applicants and the process for applying? The salary isn't huge but the perks are great and worth something in monetary terms. Don't make the mistake of underselling the job.

Just a thought - most of the staff in our local nursery cant use a computer so would not be able to email you their cv.

Fair enough, if you need the it thentheres not much point bothering sbout that! I do think you are not selling yourself properly, it has amazing benfits and sounds like a wonderful setting. Dont be I would consider myself very lucky to work with you (bit too much of a commute sadly)

KatyMac · 24/05/2009 00:20

I think that is part of the problem actually

It's a bit of a commute from most places & pretty much in the middle of no-where

Does anyone think I should add in that we do funded Early Years Education?

I think that's quite a detailed advert actually - in the past I've just put a fairly small ad in the local paper and explained the job / done a basic phone interview when people have phoned up.
But 2 or 3 applicants may be all you need - only one of them needs to be right for the job!

KatyMac · 25/05/2009 00:26

It's tricky to know what people want/expect
