KATYMAC or anyone else who's had someone do WORK EXPERIENCE

I've got a lovely 17 year old girl starting her work experience with me tomorrow morning. I'm unsure as to whether she should be observing or helping out? I was thinking it's ok to get her to help with their shoes etc. when we go out but not sure about the rest. Obviously no changing nappies, helping with toilet etc (although I'll let her do my ds2's nappies if she actually wants to).

So, those who've done this before, what do you get them to do whilst with you? Would you let them keep an eye on them whilst you have a quick visit to the toilet? (I'm asking this because I usually have the door wide open and can see them all but I will NOT be doing this when this girl is here ). She's got her CRB and all the other certificates re Child Protection, First Aid etc etc.

TIA

Only let her stay in the room if you have a signed letter from the parents otherwise send her to another part of the house & do as you normally would

Help not observe (no nappies/toileting or making bottles is my rule)

Good luck I have had some fab ones and some god-awful ones
