nanny pay on holidays

I know it's been done before but I'm confused. We're planning to take our live-out nanny with us to a break in Devon over half term. How do we pay her for the week, she'd be on duty in the day as normal and I'd obviously pay her the day rate at weekends as well, if she works or is travelling with us then.

But what do we pay for the evenings? Once or twice I imagine we'd go out and she'd be babysitting, the other nights she'll be free but - I imagine - will stay home with us as there aint' a lot to do in those parts at night. I want to treat her fairly so any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Can you afford to add an extra £50-£100 as way of compensation.

Also what are the arrangements - will there be somewhere for her to have time/space to herself eg own bedroom/or is she sharing. Maybe ensure she brings/you bring a laptop so she can watch dvds if there is only 1 tv in the lounge area which you will be in.

She should have her own space - we're trying to work it out. Good idea re DVDs. I was thinking of paying her an extra £100 for the week, so glad to hear that sounds at the top end of reasonable.

Also what will she do about meals - will she eat with the children at their supper time or will she be able to cook herself something when she knocks off.
