DH has a graduation ceremony in London on Thurs 25th June, 2-7pm, in Aldermanbury.

We'll be travelling over from Belfast and staying in a hotel central london (still deciding which one is most family friendly ).

We are bringing our 2 boys and toddler girl over with us for a few days for a treat. aged 5 1/2, 3 1/2 and 21 months, but we can't bring them to the ceremony on the Thursday afternoon.

Just wondering anyone any tips on how to go about getting them minded for that time slot?? and how much it is likely to be, so we can budget.

thanks in advance for any hints / tips!!

Hi there

I am a nanny based in London and I cover temp/one off positions like this - I currently work M - W and as I would be free this day, I would be interested in talking to you more about it if that is ok with you!

my email is [email protected]

hope to speak to you soon

Rory Quite a lot of family-friendly hotels have in-house babysitters who are fab. We can recommend two if needed in Central (one in Covent Garden and the other in Mayfair).

Also, www.sitters.co.uk may be of use. They are quite cheap and the girls from there are great.

I suppose you would be looking for a temp nanny just to do one afternoon like wickedwitch.

most babysitters from agencies like sitters tend to be available after 5pm.

think you would be looking to pay around £50 for 2-7pm as a one-off to a nanny with experience and qualifications.

i agree with lindseyfox that you need a temp/ad hoc nanny and both wwow and I do this -luckily she is in your area (where i am not) and she has worked for a few mn mums recently

agree you are looking at about £10ph so around £50 hours depending

well done dh!!!
