CM registered for over night care

Hello I maybe starting on a shift pattern and need to work nights. I was just wondering if there were any CM registered for over night care in Leicester area and what the policy is for care... is there a minimum age? own cot/bed? etc. And would a nanny be a better idea? They would have to be live out and ofsted registered and be willing to work around my shifts. Couldn't us both. Thnx

There are not that many childminders registered for overnight care. Have you got a list from your local Families Information Service?

Hello I am a qualified childrens nurse and offer overnight care and am in leicester too. I also know dibdab78 on here who lives in nottingham covers east midlands and offers this service, she is a teacher.

your child is cared for their own home and we then come to your home.

Dibdab charges the same as me and that is for a 12hr night from 7pm-7am (£80) and any additional hrs are charged at an hrly rate (£10 and hr). This is for a child/ren that sleeps through the night.

feel free to ask for more info.

I am a Childminder registered for overnight care, too far from you (West/South Yorks border) but my over night fees are just £3.00 an hour between 8pm and 7am, additional hours at my daytime rate of £3.50 an hour.

Any child staying with me has own bed or cot as appropriate, in own room. I am happy to care for children of all ages from babies upwards.

Just to give you an idea of what you should be paying - I live in Hampshire and my CM does it on her own home - £25 a night at weekends and £35 on weeknights.

Thats fine ezmi, everyone has a budget they can afford for childcare.

Have you tried gumtree or contacted demonfort uni job shop to see if any students studying a childcare related degree are looking to extra work, as they will have student teachers, those studying child psychology etc etc.

tensing · 18/04/2009 15:21

I have to say as a parent I wouldn't be happy employing a student, who has no insurance, CRB etc to look after my children

SimpleAsABC · 18/04/2009 16:01

Tensing, many students may have crb checks as part of their course and if asked could obtain insurance, surely?

Another issue with using unregistered childcare, you are unable to receive help with childcare (such as tax credits).

Hi i may be needing a overnight babsitter/ childminder for my two boys aged 4 and 8 months due to me having to work an overnight shift per week either a friday or a saturday night. Would it be possible to let me know how much you would charge me for this service.
thanks sarah. x

sarahlouise1307 · 31/10/2011 11:08

Hi i am looking for a childminder for once a week on a weekend, either a friday or saturday night for my two boys aged 4 and 8 months, due to me working as a support worker for learning disabilities and mental health it is part of my contract to do a night shift a week. How much would you charge me for this service.
Thanks Sarah x

TittyBojangles · 31/10/2011 11:09

This is a very old thread Sarah, maybe start a new one and say what are you are looking for childcare in?

hayleysd · 31/10/2011 12:00

Whereabouts are you looking for care? Your local families information service should be able to give you a list of the childminders registered for overnight care as not all are.

eastmidlandsnightnanny · 31/10/2011 12:45
