Hi - I'm looking into getting a night nanny for a couple of nights a week. My DD2 is 3 weeks old. If someone could advise me on where to look / how much I can expect to pay I'd very much appreciate it! TIA.

Hi Auntyspan, you could advertise on nannyjob.co.uk or your local gumtree if you don't want to use an agency. I normally charge £10 per hour in my area which is SW.

Hello, I am a qualified nanny who now works as a registered childminder in Cheshire and I offer this service from time to time.

Feel free to CAT me.

Hello

I am in the east midlands and work ad-hoc as a night nanny doing 2-4nights a week and am a qualified childrens nurse with lots of newborn and baby experience so my rates reflect this.

I charge £12 an hr (do negotiate to £10 an hr if within 15mins of home) for singles and £16 an hr for twins.

My work has been found through agencies or through gumtree.

obv if finding someone private then you need to check they have a crb and ring 2-3 references and check their qualifications.

I have night nanny on one night just to give a mum a nights sleep without meeting before hand or her checking my references she checked my certs when i got there and my crb but she was impressed by all my details so was fine.

If you were willing to give someone looking for a first night nanny job but had daytime baby nanny experience then you would be looking to pay £7-£8 an hr.

Hope this helps.
