Yet another week has flown by. Congratulations and well done to all of you that have been ofsted'd, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am left alone for a while (will this be the voice of doom!!)

Weird question for everyone - do I need to inform ofsted that my contact numbers have changed or will they look it up on childcarelink like environmental health did??

Hope everyone has a good weekend, we are working in the garden, running the boys around and celebrating mothers day today as have a dedication tomorrow.

morning, mums. i have no idea about informing ofsted. perhaps you should to be on the safe side. about environment health: i am still not registered! how do i go about doing this? was in a monumental pita?

i took my DS of 4 to the optician and he said Ds needs glasses and they will be thick. DH and i feel so awful for him and we have been in tears - DS has not seen this and is SO excited about getting specs! he does not know that he may have to have one eye patched up to make the toe other work harder. I am so glad i caught it now because he starts reception in Sept. But i do feel so bad about it.

No4, Environmental health have a form on the internet to fill in, but it is designed for proper food premises, so fill it in basically and email off. It took them about 12 months to come out and see me, and about 6 months to acknowledge receipt of the form - the man aid I was the first childminder he had seen and would like to devise a better form for us!!!

About the specs - my eldest has glasses and he to was excited when he got them, and what you have written describes one of my mindee's and she didn't seem fazed by it - I suppose at about 5/6 she was young enough to not really worry about it!!

No4 - one of the little girls I mind had to wear an eye patch and glasses. She really loved her jazzy eye patches and all her friends were always asking if they could have them. Every so often her Mum would let her bring in a couple, to share, and they would walk around being "twins". She just has the glasses now, but her Mum says she still sometimes asks if she can have an eye patch. Hopefully your experience will be the same.

Anyway ... have to get DD up for ballet soon, so I'd better finish my cuppa.

You need to inform Ofsted if you contact details change. However if you are just changing a mobile number, but your landline remains the same then I wouldn't bother letting Ofsted know... they can use the landline - customers can use your mobile.

mumsanutter · 21/03/2009 09:21

Thank you all - I will inform them on monday. I think they have the number, but just want to make sure as used to have to landlines!

on page 30 I think it is of the statutory framework it lists all the things you have to inform Ofsted of - and I think contact details is one of them!

Afternoon all

I am having a weekend off

No childminding stuff no OU stuff no OFSTED stuff

So I spent the morning running around after my mum, the gardener & DD - I am so tired

KatyMac · 21/03/2009 20:14

I am so bored

southernbelle77 · 21/03/2009 20:21

Evening all.

I have been on an eyfs training course all day. I'm now even more confused than I was before It's just all too much and right now I'm wondering why I'm doing this anymore. Really need someone to come and sort me out!

Bless your ds no4. He'll probably love his glasses. I really should take dd to the opticians. Apparently they had eye tests at school but dd was off sick so she missed out. We had to go to the orthoptist at the hospital until she was 3 for eye test so it's something I should not put off. She would probably love glasses (I hope she doesn't need them) but only if they were Hello Kitty ones!!

Happy mothers day

Going out today to enjoy the sun, even though I have a sore throat, runny/blocked nose and AF has started!
