What is the average childminding cost in London for 2009?

Is £50 to £60 reasonable??

I pay £45 a day 8-6, meals included. Think that's pretty standard round here (zone 2 North West London)

Is £50 to £60 per day reasonable childminding costs for London?

Childminder will only have my child plus her own, hence higher rate though not sure whether this is reasonable

Hmm well unless you've stipulated that, it seems a bit unfair to charge you extra for the privilege. My CM often only has my DS and one other child because one or other of the two others she looks after is at nursery but she doesn't charge me extra on those days. Get the list from your council and ring round a few and see what the going rate is where you are.

CM opposite me charges £50 per day and minds alot of kids - London zone 2 SE

I charge £50-£60 per day (11-12 hour day), which includes all meals. Siblings are discounted. I am in SW London. My charge is pretty average in my area.

London Zone 5, £50-60 a day but the best childminder ever so more than happy to pay it.

Im West London zone 2 and I charge £60 per day. All meals and outings included.

It depends on what you're after.
I charge £50 to £60 a day and only look after my own plus one. I could look after more and maybe charge £45 a day, but that would mean each individual child getting less attention and needing to accomidate around others routines etc.
For example I'll cater food around the individual childs likes and dislikes and I'll fit in with their home routine of naps etc. Which all potentially could be harder to do if I minded more children.
The parents I currently mind for prefer it to just be their child and mine.
However if you'd prefer your child to be in more of a group setting, maybe this childminder isn't for you.

I paid £5.50 an hour to mine, which is fairly standard in SW London.
