HSMM · 16/02/2009 13:38

nannynick · 16/02/2009 14:43

Just been to meet a family with regard to babysitting - seemed to go well.
Off to see Slumdog Millionaire this afternoon, I've got a bit behind on my movie watching (Mondays are the cheap day at my local cinema).

Wondering what to do tomorrow, where to take the children. Went to Lookout (Bracknell) last Tuesday... could do that again, though haven't been to Alice Holt in a while.

Shoshe · 16/02/2009 14:57

You lot are part timers

4 today, all day,
3 tomorrow
5 the rest of the week.

We have been to Lulworth Cove today, wave jumping

Nick let me know what you think of Slumdog, I cant wait to see it, and Benjamin Button.

Will You be sitting up to watch the Oscars on Sunday night?

I intend to sleep all afternoon (beauty of not having kids) then sitting up to watch.

looneytune · 16/02/2009 15:41

Nick - how much is the lookout? I've only got 4 tomorrow, my baby and big kids so not tied to routine, was thinking what to do after children's centre

eleanorsmum · 16/02/2009 17:30

we saw slumdog on sat, it was fab! really makes you apreciate what you've got, great storyline, very moving, lovely too! highly recommended.

i want to see ben button and rev road too! might have to take orange wednesdays up on there offer!

looney - think the look out is about £4/5 per child, adult about £6 but thats for the science centre bit the rest is free!

I have finished working for the day now with the 4 of my own I had 7 today, we had to follow a friend to take her car to the garage and collect her car and also talk a walk to the library and made a home cinema.
Tues = 8, we are going to quasar and soft play for little ones
weds = 8, no firm plans yet but will probably go back to the library
Thurs = 7, Thorpe park
and currently off on Friday!! but am working Sunday.....

I already can not wait until they go back to school on Monday!!

mumsanutter · 16/02/2009 17:39

talk a walk should be take a walk!!!

Oh I would love to go to the cinema, but have no money left after taking the boys to their clubs and paying the babysitter!! lol

Numberfour · 16/02/2009 19:02

i am of those that are so busy.

me and my family could do with extra £££££

(but I did love my easy day today....)

nannynick · 16/02/2009 19:13

Looney - Lookout Admission Prices - A 5.60, C 3.75, Under4's Free. 1Adult+3Children or 2Adult+2Children = 15.00

If dry though, the Forest and playground are free. On busy days it may be necessary to park in the Coral Reef carpark and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.

Shoshe - Slumdog was very good, I liked it. It is a little violent in places but then it has to show what life in India is like - for children growing up in the slums it is a violent world at times. I was surprised that there was what appeared to me to be an 8 year old and 9 year old watching it - cinema clearly wasn't checking ages, as it is a 15 and they certainly were not 15.

looneytune · 16/02/2009 20:42

Thanks Nick and EllieM, it cost me £20 to get them all into soft play today so I won't be paying for another big thing just yet. I meant going round the woods etc. as I'll only have my own baby tomorrow, the rest of 4 or 5 yrs old. I usually have the triple and have been told the Lookout wouldn't be great for that but I should be ok with a single so thought I'd make the most of it. Looking forward to California Country Park on Wednesday

nannynick · 16/02/2009 20:50

Triple certainly would not be good at Lookout woods. Single more manageable - bigger the wheels the better I suspect though, may still be a bit muddy.

So what time would you be going? We could meet up at Lookout if you like. I will have a 4 year old as well!

eleanorsmum · 16/02/2009 21:08

ooh another meet up! too much of a good thing maybe? but seriuosly, what time you going to the look out? we might come for a quick romp round the woods, dd loves the park there too!

Wonder if they will have more den building stuff - they often replenish that during school holidays.

looneytune · 17/02/2009 09:27

I have a quinny single that a mindees mum gave me before I had ds2 so that should be ok as big wheels I'm not sure about time though, got next mindee arriving at 10am then supposed to be off to the Children's Centre for childminder drop in and we'll stay as long as the kids want so not sure about time. Being realistic, if we go it's probably going to be after lunch. My mobile is on my website should you decide to check what time we're going.

Best get back to it.
