You don't need any specific qualifications, but most qualified nannies will have something like an NVQ3 in Childcare. You can also do specific (very expensive) nanny courses at Norland College or Chiltern College.

Do you have any childcare experience?

Nannies don't have to be qualified. Some parents use nannies with child care qualifications, some look more for experience. Most like you to have a first aid qualification, but might be happy for you to complete this once you have started employment.

If you have little or no experience you might be better working as a mothers help first. This is where a parent is at home and you basicly assist them with both childcare and housework duties.

You could also look at going to college and doing a one year NC in childcare or doing the second year HNC as well, which would mean you were a qualified nursery nurse.
