It's what we put to bump a thread up into the active conversations list so it will get noticed by more people.

Hello. I am a childminder in New Denham/Uxbridge. BUT it sounds like you are looking for a Nanny or possibly even a cleaner.

If you are looking at childminders, your child would go to the childminders home. If you are looking for a childminder then please let me know but to be honest, I don't think this sounds like what you need.

Sorry if not much help but didn't want to not post in case you were looking for one!

Good luck

Thank you for helping Puzzy. Appreciate it!

Hello Chloe
No, I am not looking for a childminder, as my son goes to nursery. Looking for someone to do a morning nursery run with some housework to follow. If you know anyone, who might be interested, please let me know.
Thank you for your message

Ok then, I just thought I should ask as it says Childminder in the title.

I don't think I know anybody looking for part time work I am afraid. But I will ask around. What time were you looking to start? And what time is the nursery run?

Have you tried posting on netmums? They have a hillingdon site with a childcare board and I think you would get a better response there.

Saying that, I know a cleaner that covers Harefield, she has done the odd day here but I can't afford it now, she does another ladies house in Harefield though. Might not help with the nursery run but I think you might have trouble finding a Nanny that does more housework than childcare?

Hello
I am now looking for a part-time nanny to look after my 18 months old son for 2-3 days a week. Hours would be 7am-6pm On other days of the week, I would require a nursery drop off with breakfast and a pick-up with evening tea.
Car essential, some laundry/ironing for my son required, doctors' appointments and looking after my son when not well.
If interested, I am looking for someone to start straight away on a permanent basis. Please contact me on [email protected]

Many thanks

Hello. Can I just ask a few questions?

  • Would you consider a childminder for the full days? So you would have to drop him off but would get food etc all sorted at the childminder's house?
  • What days are the full days?
  • If you definatly want somebody to come to you, would you consider somebody just for the 2-3 full days and then find an alternative person for the other days that are just pick up/drop offs.

If you could let me know the above, I might be able to help you (or somebody I know).

NatLex · 07/01/2009 13:06

Hello
I would need someone to come to my house and perform all the duties of a nanny for 2-3 days. Yes, other days could be rearranged, so I do the drop-offs and pick-ups myself.
Thank you

Hi. I have sent a quick email to a few of my childcare friends to see if they are interested (haven't told them your email address or anything though)

Do you mind if I ask some more questions? It Will bump your thread back up to the top if nothing else and might help other people who look too.

  • would you consider somebody who would need to bring their own child?
  • What housework is involved?
  • Is a childminder out of the question? What if a childminder were to collect and drop off your son at the start/end of the day?
chloejessmeg · 07/01/2009 15:36

Hello. I have found somebody who is interested, and I have worked with her in a nursery before and she is very good. Is it ok for me to pass on your email address? I am assuming that because you posted it then it should be fine?

NatLex · 08/01/2009 16:53

Hello and thank you for helping out. We are still undecided on what to do, but if we did, we would need someone to come to us for the whole day (no other children preferrable), look after my son when he is ill, cook meals for him and look after his laundry/ironing and a minimum would be 2 days a week, e.g. Tues/Thurs. We would prefer a qualified, experienced nanny.

I realise that we have now changed requirements, so might not suit. We are still undecided on what to do I am afraid. Thank you for all the responses.

Hello chloejessmeg

thank you for all your messages.
We now decided we just need someone to possibly do a morning drop-off, so I could go to work earlier. My husband does a pick-up and that is fine, so not sure whether it would be possible to find someone to do just a morning nursery run? The start would be 7-7.30am with giving my son some breakfast beforehand. I do look for someone very friendly and experienced.
Thank you

Thank you all again, but I have now found a great person to drop my son off in the morning.
