As per the title, are you a nanny whose employers pay you from funds they receive via tax credits? How does it work? Did you need to be Ofsted registered prior to being paid?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

i get the busy bees vouchers...

not sure thats what you mean is it?

nannynick · 15/11/2008 09:14

No not the vouchers. That scheme we all understand, I think.
This is the other part... where some parents can claim up to 80% of their childcare costs (up to a maximum weekly amount) from the Government.

Its in reference to this other thread - reading that may help you understand the issues.

When a parent who qualifies for the claim uses a Childminder, the Childminder is already registered, so the parent can tell Tax Credits the Registration details.
When a parent uses a nanny, that nanny may not already be registered, in which case I can't see how it can work, as Tax Credits can not release any money until they have the registration details.

No nannies paid by parents in receipt of Tax Credits then?
