I know what I need to check, but I don't know an easy way to record it...does anyone have any suggestions?

Just off to cook dinner so will pop back on later, sorry if I don't reply straight away! x

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi, I have been a nanny, teaching assistant etc and will soon be a childminder, make a list of all the things you want to check and use a tick box system on a "chart". That way it is easy at a glance to see who meets what. You could even just give each requirement a letter that only you know what it means for later reference.

I have 2 columns for each room/area. One is 'potential risk', other is 'action', e.g:
Living room
fire - fire guard

Garden
Sandpit - Keep a cover on it and replace sand when needed
cat mess - check every morning before children arrive, see tick sheet (chart of dates and ticked when checked)
