If a child came to you at 7.30am and needed to be dropped at school between 8.45 and 9am, and then needed collecting at 3pm, staying til 4, how would you contract the hours?

Would it be until 9am and then from 3pm, or do you take your travel time into account (a 15 min walk in my case), and make the hours 7.30 to 9.15, and 2.45 to 4??

Need to clarify before speaking to the parents, and don't know how other CMs work this. Also, do people tend to charge a set amount or an hourly rate for before and after school?

Thanks!

I am trying to keep things simple and therefore round up to the nearest half hour. So i would probably charge for an hour and a half in the morning and then an hour in the afternoon.

I have to take my own children to school anyway, so just charge 8-9 then 3-6.

However if I was going out of my way, then I would charge the extra time it takes to get there and back.

I always charge for travel time unless like Abba I am dropping of/picking up my own children anyway.

I would charge from 7.30am - 9.00am, and from 3.00pm - 4.00pm, so a total of 2.5 hours/day, which I would charge at my normal hourly rate. I don't charge for my travelling time.
