Charging for holidays for afterschool children??

Hi, I am just starting to look after after-school children and am unsure of what people do regarding charging for holidays? It doesn't seem quite fair charging the same holidays as those children i look after for full days. I know everyone will have their own way of working, but i'd really appreciate hearing some of them. Thanks

Will you be caring for the after school children in the holidays?

I have afterschoolies that I do not look after in the holidays so they are on term time only contracts. I also have some that I do care for in the holidays and I charge them the same hourly rate as my full time under 5's (my hourly rate for after schoolies is more than my under 5's)

hth.

I have two children that I have after school that both only come term-time.

Then have one after-schooler that comes all year round, and I also have her brother who is one of my under 5's. So I give the parents a discounted rate in the holidays.

Thanks for that. Out of interest, on a term-time only contract would you charge for holidays taken outside of school holiday time? It's all so complicated!

For me I charge nothing during the school holidays, although I know some cm's that charge retainer fees.

Then, yes if they holiday in term-time, its full fee.
