How much is a live out nanny in sutton

I am expecting my second baby and am starting to plan ahead. The age gap will be 18 months. If I go back to work it will be when DD is 2.5 years and LO will be 1ish. How much will I have to pay. What is the best option for childcare? Live in is not an option as we have a tiny house. At the moment DD goes to a lovely childminder but she charges 5 pounds an hour so it will be too much for 2 kids.

Im a nanny in Croydon. Around here you'd pay £7 -£10 an hour for a nanny (for both children of course)

I think if you could manage a live-in nanny you might save money by moving from CM to nanny. But, I think live out will cost you more than £10/hour once you factor in taxes, expenses, ectivities, transporatation, etc.

Sorry, I'm sure this is not what you wanted to hear. On the bright side, as the housing market is crashing it is a good time to think about trading up and then you could maybe manage a live in.

So how much for live in then?? I think I'll just be a stay at home mum and try and pick up a job with few hours and huge pay hmmm.

tbh i dont think you will find a good nanny for less than what 2 children at a cm will cost £10

even if you find a nanny for £6/7 nett, by the time you add on tax and Ni on top,as well as petrol/kitty costs the overall figure will be more

I'd rather resign anyway so that confirms it for me. Thanks everyone. SAHMing for me I can't wait.

You might find a CM who does a sibling discount so you probably wouldnt end up paying £10 per hour but maybe £7-8. Ask around - Im in Ashtead near Epsom and this is what I do so you might find someone closer to home that does the same?
