hi. whats the rule with 4+ going to school in sept but not going full time until october. does she count as 5year old?

Its very much up in the air as from September at the moment as there has been a change of wording in the EYFS which was proposing all sorts of problems with regards to ratios. However they are looking into it all, so as long as gets sorted once a child is full time education then they count as an over 5 although they are still 4 years old.

they break the children in few at a time now. my ds was 4 when started primary school, the eldst started at start of term and they break them in, so its not too big a shok for them, so when others are settled and made som friends they bring next few in. i think its quite a good idea really as theres so many children in classes the children are much more confident in it
