I was phoned and the new job is very similar to mine, so I was able to say which bits of it, in my opinion, he would be able to do comfortably (driving, cleaning). However, when she mentioned cooking, I quailed. I said I didn't think that was one of his fortes, and gave examples of 2 mishaps in the kitchen to back this statement. The prospective new employer's DSs are also sporty, so I also described the difficulties I'd found in this area. As I teach, I also have school holidays off, whereas this woman didn't. She is now left with a decision to make - at least it is an informed one. Thanks again for all your suggestions. Nannynick's links were interesting & informative - recommended reading!
